As the stucco is applied to the cement board with wire mesh I had to score it cause of the hot sun was making it set up faster, I let the scratch coat set up then apply the finish coat of stucco, then I start to texture the stucco to match the original texture that was applied back in 1924 when the house was built.
Here the two top panels have been finished now they will cure for the next week before the primer and paint is applied.
The old rake boards when thr roof was replaced the notches in the boards caused them to break off leaving holes where rain would enter, This caused the stucco panels to fail. also the painter or whoever made the repairs to the stucco they sealed up the bottom edge of the stucco panels with caulk which just held any water in, I use cedar to keep with original woodwork on the house.
Here the stucco panels are given two coats of customers paint he had left over.
The rear of the house where the stucco was replaced I used Block Filler and the painted
Well all the panels are stuccoed so now after they are cured I will use Benjamin Moore's Block Filler to seal the stucco then Customer has exteriot paint.
Now that the rake boards are installed I will caulk and fill gaps where I had to notch the top edge of the rake boards to bend them the same pitch as the roof.
Here all the stucco has been primed with Block Filler, and then I primed new wood with Benjamin Moore's Freshstart primer.
Now I painted all batten boards and windows with Benjamin Moore's Exterior Mooreglo soft gloss in a tudur brown, I applied two coats.
