This room is now looking better but still a ways to go

These photo's that follow will show how the room is coming along, I have removed the partical board from the sub flooring, I will be ordering Hardwood flooring, But I have to finish installing the rope around the archway. I also put Venetian Plaster in the hall on two walls. I had this stuff for two years sitting on a shelf. But anyways the pictures will show the progress is slow but still moving forward.

I filled in allot of the gaps and cracks, I still have to fill more before the primer and paint is applied.

I attached the Rope Moulding then carved off the extra mud, I had to fill gaps and cracks, in some places I had to build it up.

Here I have painted the walls and the Crown Moulding, I choose a yellow color to off set the green, I did the ceiling panel in a white flat finish.

The flooring is laid out

I have nailed down the flooring and will move across the room, I have the boards laid in away so that they flow into the hall and closet.

Well all the flooring is installed and now for base boards and to trim out windows in room plus install closet door and casement mouldings.

Here I attach the Rope Moulding to the wall above the archway, I will fill in the gaps and cracks then carve them out.

This is the hall way side of the arch, I used a Venetian Plaster, that's why there's a brown color to the walls. I had to scrape it so the Rope Moulding would bond with the wall.

Well now I have covered the sub floor with 30 lbs roofing felt I will lay out the flooring and let it sit to aclimate, then I will install.

I start installing the base boards around the room, after I will fill nail holes and caulk, then I will light sand and then paint after shoe mouldings are installed.
